About

Dan Schaner is the owner and founder of Schaner Designs LLC. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Materials and Mechatronics. He graduated from Montana State University in 2015, and has been working in the manufacturing industry ever since. He specializes in machine design, industrial automation, robotics and design for manufacture/assembly. He’s also worked on numerous projects involving industrial automation equipment such as robots, gantry pick-and-place systems, part feeders, and CNC machines. He has experience with 5- and 6-axis robots, gantry pick-and-place systems, part feeders, vacuum tooling, and CNC technology.

Dan’s industry experience includes work with CNC machining, injection molding, die casting, assembly, and packaging. These manufacturing processes encompass the vast majority of consumer and commercial products, making Dan extremely knowledgeable when it comes to designing products that can be easily manufactured. He specializes in incorporating the best manufacturing practices into all of his designs to come up with innovative and cost effective solutions.

Dan has been designing parts and complex assemblies with Solidworks CAD software for over 8 years, and has several Solidworks certifications. The button below will take you to them.
